The Historic Wedding Cake Mansion

Savannah’s legendary Wedding Cake Mansion offers the ultimate in luxury in the heart of the city’s National Historic Landmark District, overlooking picturesque Monterey Square. Originally built in 1869, this stylish Second Empire Baroque treasure has been lovingly restored to its former glory and has earned historic certification for its period-appropriate renovations. Ornate stained glass details and antique crystal chandeliers add to the ambiance of this breathtaking sanctuary. Nestled on a quiet street just steps from Bull Street and Forysth Park as well as the city's finest dining and shopping, the three-story Wedding Cake Mansion boasts unique ornamental ironwork, rounded bay windows facing the square, spectacular city views, decorative plasterwork and intricate moldings. A brick-accented courtyard, second-floor screened porch and third-floor veranda offer ideal outdoor spaces to relax.


Choose from one of these seven, on-site, private rooms, each with it's own private bath. An elevator provides access to the three levels of this home, allowing a hassle free transition and wheelchair accessibility.

Bedroom 1: Large Master Suite

The master bedroom has a fireplace, beautiful windows, and time period decor. The marble master bath showcases an imported stained glass window over the 6-foot whirlpool bath, French fixtures, antique sconces, double vanities, and a two-person shower.


Before May 1, 2020:     $3,600. 

As of May 1, 2020:        $4,000.


This room may be shared with a family member, friend, or loved one attending the retreat, for an additional $2,000.   


A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.

Bedroom 2: The Penthouse

This room, located on mansion’s penthouse floor , complete with kitchen, takes on a 1940’s “Bogey and Bacall” movie era theme, extensively using mirrors in furnishings and appointments to create a “Glamour Suite.”

The bathroom has a large soaking tub, two sinks, and chandelier light fixtures.


This room has veranda access and dramatic city views


Before May 1, 2020:             $3,400. 

Beginning May 1, 2020:       $4,000.


This room may be shared with a family member, friend, or loved one attending the retreat, for an additional $2,000.
